A handsome cased late Victorian or Edwardian compass with hinged lid, the little button on the top used to open; just like a pocket watch.
The case is made from nickel over brass with minor wear commensurate with age and use, professionally cleaned and polished.
The dial reveals an English design registration number (355639) which dates the design to the year 1900.
Excellent condition and in full working order measuring 2 3/4" x 1 3/4"x 1/2".
