Description

Dating to the late Victorian era, around 1880, this wonderful fish serving set remains with it's original presentation box, beautifully lined in a deep red velvet and silk. The interior of the lid reveals the original retailer " Henry Pidduck & Sons / Goldsmiths / 73 Lord Street / Southport ".
Both servers have beautiful carved Ivory handles, miraculously without any splits or damage. The silverplate is decorated with pierced or reticulated work and finished with highly decorative engraving.
Excellent condition the box measuring 14" x 4 1/2"; the knife measuring 12 1/2" and the fork, 9 1/4".
