A fabulous vintage Champagne bucket or wine cooler made from silver plate by the top-notch silversmith's, Christofle of Paris. This is the larger of the two sizes made in this design. Dating to the late twentieth century c.1990; this is a hard model to find, known as Talisman / Laque De Chine (Chinese Lacquer) which refers to the handles in the Sienna colour; a lovely rusty red. This has just been returned from our silversmith's workshop where it has been fully restored, professionally cleaned and polished, bringing it back to it's former glory. A stunning top quality piece to adorn the finest of bars or dinner tables. Christofle is a goldsmith and tableware company, founded in Paris in 1830 by Charles Christofle. The company is known for having introduced electrolytic gilding and silver plating in France in 1842. Today mention of the name Christofle evokes both the elegance of a bygone era and the concept of innovative modern design.
