An exceptionally decorative letter opener made from sterling silver with the front panel of the handle inset with a tablet of glossy antique tortoiseshell.
The ferrule joining the handle to the blade is beautifully decorative and leads to the blade which is engraved on both side, and hallmarked for Sheffield 1873.
As useful as beautiful in excellent condition; measuring 9 1/4" long.
