Description
A top-notch solid silver cigar / cigarette box, perfect for a jewellery, desk-top box or simply to enjoy it's decorative beauty.The box was made by the English silversmith, Padgett & Braham Ltd. for Cartier and is fully hallmarked for 1961.
The box is beautifully decorated with an engine turned and linear design to the top with a vacant central cartouche. The interior is lined in cedar wood with two removable dividers allowing it to be used for large cigars, the interior having a width measuring 7".
The box sits in it's original Cartier presentation box with gold printed cream silk in the inside of the lid, printed for Cartier, London, Paris and New York, an unfortunate mark on the silk, the box still in very good shape.
A stylish box in excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age and use measuring 7 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 2" with the red case measuring 9" x 5 1/4" x 2 1/2".
