An absolute delight, this sterling silver box is topped with a stunning lid inset with a glossy piece of period Tortoiseshell and beautifully inlaid with silver pique, in the form of a flower basket with a ribbon and bow motif.
The shell has stunning markings and colours ranging from golden champagne to rich chocolate brown, all show-cased by a glossy polished patina.
The silver is of course hallmarked for London 1919 together with the makers initials, C & A, for the silversmith, Collett & Anderson.
Excellent condition with a lid diameter measuring 2 1/2" and stands 1 1/8" tall.
