handsome antique english mother of pearl jewelry box c1890

Description

A superb Jewellery box dating to the late Victorian era, dating to around 1890, standing on it's original four Ivory ball feet.
The box is covered with Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell with it's bright and colourful iridescent qualities, showcased with a good shiny patina.
There is a Mother of Pearl button to the front which when pushed releases the lid to be lifted. The interior is all original, the edges trimmed in Ivory and lined in blue silk.
Excellent condition, measuring 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 2" tall.
