Dating to around 1900, this is a wonderful and unusual folding Walnut games board with a chess board on the exterior and when opened, an inlaid backgammon board.
The backgammon board is rather unusual with a carved cradle for the backgammon counters to sit and board intricately inlaid. The set is lucky enough to retain it's original complete set of turned wooden counters.
A lovely late Victorian or Edwardian in example in excellent condition. Perfect for a smaller sized chess set with each square measuring 1 1/8" square. The box measures 15" x 7" while closed.
