A fabulous highly decorative pair of letter scales signed across the balance, Edwards & Jones, 121 Regent St., London.
The stunning scales are beautifully engraved created from a combination of red and gold coloured brass, with a thick rope base, even the weights are decorated, around each rim.
The pans are inset with large oval Malachite stones, creating an outstanding display.
Dating to around 1880, they remain in superb condition having been professionally re-polished to gleam. The base measures 7" x 5", the pans spanning 7 3/4" and standing 6 3/4" tall.
