A fabulous example of an English sterling silver card case, beautifully shaped and beautifully decorated.
The front has a large central vacant cartouche and in two corners an unusual scrolled segmented banner running diagonally, these banners are also present on the back.
The hinged lid fits perfectly and the hinge in perfect working order. There is an English hallmark for Birmingham 1909, Edwardian in era. A good solid piece made from a good gauge of silver and weighing 2.17 Troy Ounces or 67.5 Grams. 3 7/8" x 2 3/4".
