magnificent set 12 fruit knives forks mother of pearl handles and decorative terminals

An absolutely sensational and highly decorative complete boxed set of twelve fruit or desert knives and forks, rarely found with these wonderful repousse terminals on the end of each piece. The knives bear the maker's mark H C & Co. for HAMMOND, CREAKE & CO. of Sheffield.
Each knife and fork is in beautiful condition with wonderful iridescent Mother or Pearl handles, silver plated blades and tines and the highly decorative ferrules; the kind we (and our clients) are always in search of.
This set comes with it's original solid Mahogany presentation box (no key). Dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890, the set remains in superb condition. The box measures 12" x 9 1/2"; the knife measures 8 3/8" and the fork, 7 3/8" in length.
