Description

A stunning little monocular made from mixed metals, brass and nickel over copper, with the copper showing through in places.
The eyepiece is made from Mother of Pearl and signed " J. Duvelleroy London ", I believe their shop was in New Bond Street, London's smartest shopping street.
The sides are decorated with a silver or white coloured guilloche enamel decorated with a gold swags tied with bows. The lens to the end is convex, so this one wasn't made to stand up straight but to be laid down on it's side.
All good optically, a little dust inside and the guilloche enamel is without damage. Quite superb, measuring 1 3/4" extending to 2 1/4".
