A wonderful and highly decorative Victorian toast rack, which these days are a popular desk-top accessory, they make the most stylish letter or stationery racks, particularly in this very usable size. Equally , they are still the most elegant and usable of table-top accessories at breakfast time.
The design and quality are top notch, not surprising as it was made by the highly regarded George Travis of Sheffield. There is a full set of marks to the underside; the big bonus on this particular example is the English design Registration number 333094 for the year 1899.
The integral tray has a repousse or embossed rim and stands on four highly decorative feet. Excellent condition, measuring 8 1/4"" at longest points x 4" x 6" tall.
