Description
A wonderful Victorian letter clip in polished brass with a very strong spring to hold all sorts of things, from business cards to a menu, business cards to a cherished photograph.The polished brass clip is set into a glass base, the fastener on the underside is very slightly rough so I would advise not sitting on top of a finely polished surface, this heavy glass base doubles as a perfect paperweight on a desk-top.
What obviously makes this a very special piece is the charming Bee set to the front made from a carved and polished Agate stone.
Dating to the late Victorian era, around 1880, the base measures 3 3/8" in diameter, the clip standing 4 1/4" at tallest, spanning across 4 7/8".
