Description
A beautiful little Victorian magnifying glass complete with it's original leather case with an impressed makers mark to the underside.
The case has done a marvelous job in protecting the magnifier within, it's in pristine condition.
It is made from an exotic timber, perhaps Brazilian Rosewood with it's interesting grain and colouring. The metal is nickel on top of copper, you can just see the copper beneath on the fine beaded edging. The lenses are in amazing condition, clearly well protected in the case over the last 160 years.
Quite wonderful and rarely found, the instrument measuring 1 7/8" x 4/4" thick.
