Description

A handsome original antique English Victorian Police Truncheon, still retaining a fare amount of the hand-painted finish.
Nearest the handle is a red band with the word Police still visible. The tip has the initials V R either side of the crown for Victoria Regina.
You can see in the turned handle a fine hairline, perfectly acceptable for these truncheons and this one would be considered to be in very good condition dating to around 1860. 15" in length.
