Description

A first for me, I have never had or seen a pair of silverplated Entree dishes with these wonderful and unusual removable carrying handles, a perfect invention for to carry really hot dishes.
The shaped handles are removed easily by sliding off at each end and can be used with the lids on or off.
Each of the fluted lids has a most attractive handle with a foliate design and again are removable allowing for the lids to also double up as open serving dishes.
If this isn't enough, they are made by a top-notch London silversmith, the "Goldsmith's and Silversmith's Company" at "112 Regent St. London W.".
In excellent condition (with minor wear commensurate with age - silverplate is intact and in good shape) they date to around 1900, late Victorian or Edwardian in era. The rim measurements to the bases is are 10 3/4" x 7 3/4".
