Description

A stunning late Victorian cased set of six Fruit Knives and Forks (12 pieces in total). The silver plated knife blades are beautifully decorated with a fruit tree blossom design and joined to the Ivory pistol style handles with a shell shaped ferrule.
The forks have a singe blossom flower engraved to the front and again have the attractive shell ferrule.
The knives have the silversmith's mark for Charles James Allen & Sidney Darwin trading as Allen & Darwin of Sheffield and London.
Excellent condition, the mahogany case measuring 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 2 1/4" tall. The knife measures 8 1/4" long and the forks 6 3/4" in length.
