Description

A fine French bronze Blackamoor figure of a gentleman carrying to baskets which are removable, I believe possibly a piece made for use as a pair of open salts for the dining table.
Beautifully executed and in very good dating to around 1860; the base has a couple of knock around the rim, mentioned for accuracy. The base measures 3 1/4" in diameter x 5" tall and spanning 4 1/2" (max) wide.
