Description

A really fine quality Black Forest carving in the form of a very sweet dog's head, full of character and wonderfully executed. The underside reveals the hole where the piece of wood would have been screwed onto a support and used to turn while being hand carved, allowing for a fine quality example.
The dog retains it's two original glass eyes. The head is topped with a hat which is hinged and opens to reveal the original removable glass ink chamber or liner.
A real gem in excellent condition. 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".
