Description
This large and impressive jug or pitcher is a fabulous and most unusual spherical shape, beautifully cut to resemble a coopered wooden construction.
The collar, handle and lid are made from English silver plate, marked EPNS on the underside of the lid for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver.
Dating to around 1900, late Victorian or Edwardian, it remains in superb undamaged condition. The jug spans 6 1/2" handle to spout, with it's glass body having a diameter measuring approximately 7 1/2" and standing 8 1/2" tall.
