Description
A superb and highly decorative counter or desk bell sitting on an Ebonised wooden base. The bell itself is made from English sterling silver with a full hallmark for London 1904. There is also an inscription across the bell for "7th April 1907". The makers initials are also legible for the top-notch silversmith, William Comyns, renowned for his high quality and very fine work.
The side is just magnificent with fine quality pierced or reticulated panel and even the strike on top is decorated with a floral and foliate design, also with piercing. The bell is would from the underside and when the button to the top is pushed let's out a authoritative ring.
Super quality and condition measuring 5" in diameter (base) x 3 1/2" tall.
