Description
A very handsome early Edwardian solid or sterling silver tea caddy standing on four stunning Lion's paw feet. The caddy is made from a good gauge of silver weighing 6.33 Troy Ounces or 197 Grams.
The hinged lid is in perfect working order and opens to reveal the lavishly gilded interior.
The underside is where the full English hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1901 together with the makers initials (W W into a heart) for William Williams. The London retailer is also engraved to the underside, Hamilton and Co, 207, Regent Street.
Excellent condition, measuring 3 3/4" x 3" x 4 1/2" tall to top of finial.
