Description
A fabulous Victorian inkwell in English silver plate with the full makers mark on the underside for Pryor Tyzack and Co. of Sheffield, dating to around 1860. The naturalistic plinth is mounted with a very handsome race horse mounted by a jockey.
The inkwell itself is disguised as a tree trunk with a hinged lid reveal a removable metallic liner.
A fabulous and highly desirable piece in excellent condition. 8" x 3" x 4 1/2" tall.
