I have been lucky enough to get hold of two of these hand made silver plated spoon warmers from a private collection, rare to find one but unbelievable to find two; each is listed separately (the other: Item # 37867. This example is In the shape of a leather shoe, having a hand-chased body with invisibly hinged lid opening, and all sitting on a hobnail boot base with heel. There is a full mark on the underside of the lid for the silversmith, Thomas Latham & Ernest Morton of Birmingham in c. 1880. Excellent condition measuring 6 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" high.
