Description
A magnificent antique food or meat dome dating to the early 19th century, George III in era, dating to around 1820. The top is crowned with a wonderfully decorative handle with hand chasing.
The front has an engraved decoration surrounding a circular armorial or family crest which I believe is for the Quinan family name of Dublin, Ireland. The crest consist of a Squirrel holding an Oak tree fructed. Surround this is the quote, qui non patriam amat meaning "Who does not love a country".
Excellent condition with wear on the interior commensurate with age. 20 1/2" x 16 1/2" x 14" tall.
