Description
These fabulous ladder scales don't come along very often especially complete and in such great condition.Always highly sought-after, this example is made by De Grave, Short, Fanner & Co. for the English Post Office (GPO - General Post Office), marked in numerous places. It also has the VR mark under a crown for Victorian Regina (Queen Victorian), this example dating to c.1870/
The complete set of original weights are an absolute joy, a more unusual square shape, seven in total.
A superb collectable gem in excellent condition. 16" x 6" x 14" tall.
