Description

Always highly sought-after and collectable, this novelty inkwell is in the form of an English Rugby Ball dating to the late Victorian era.
The inkwell is covered in leather (natural staining but all leather intact) with lace detailing to the top. At the front there is a concealed button under the leather which when pressed releases the sprung lid open.
The inside has a gilded ink chamber with a lever to the side which is released to open the lid. Once opened, the removable inkwell is revealed.
Victorian in era, dating to around 1890, it remains in excellent condition. 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" tall.
