Description

A fabulous pair of decorative and most unusual napkin rings made from English sterling silver and decorated with a rural Asian (Japanese) scene surrounding an oval vacant cartouche.
The pair come in their original presentation box (catch missing pin) and are fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1911 and are also lucky enough to also have an English registration number. The interior of the lid is lined with blue silk and printed in gold for the Indian retailer in Calcutta and Darjeeling; clearly exported for the Anglo-Indian market and have made their way back to England.
Excellent condition each napkin ring measures 1 3/4" in diameter x 1 1/4" with a combined weight of 1.75 Troy Ounces / 53.7 Grams. The box measures 3 1/8" x 2 1/2" x 2 3/8".
