antique english crocodile alligator skin wallet card case

Description

Dating to late Victorian period, around 1890 / 1900, this is a wonderful deep cognac coloured crocodile skin, perfect as that special wallet and / or card case.
The leather is nice and shiny with that deep rich patina that only comes with age.
Unusually the frame on the interior is covered with leather, these are usually uncovered chrome, a nice finishing touch. The interior is lined in soft buff coloured leather with the left hand side having one compartment, and the right hand side with an additional pocket.
The catch and hinge are in good working order. Excellent condition measuring 5 1/2" x 4" while closed.
