antique cold painted bronze game bird inkwell c1900

Description

A handsome and beautifully cast Viennese bronze novelty inkwell, in the form of a Grouse, beautifully executed and cold painted.
The bird is stamped Geschutz with the maker's initials below (hard to decipher), Austrian in origin dating to around 1900.
The naturalistic base is painted and has a pen rest support, I have included the (new) wooden dip pen to finish off the offering. The lid opens to reveal the removable glass liner.
Superb condition, measuring 5 1/4" x 3" x 4 3/4" tall.
