Description

A really smart late Victorian desk-top letter or postal scale made by the highly sought-after London maker, Sampson Mordan, signed across the balance.
The two pans are beautifully engraved with a classical Greek Key design.
The cradle to the front is where the four polished brass weights are stored. A fabulous example in excellent condition dating to c.1880.
6 7/8" x 3 5/8" x 2 3/4" tall.
