A magnificent hand-carved Scottish table snuff box.
The hinged lid is carved with Tam O'Shanter riding over the bridge over the Doon with the witch in pursuit, the thumbpiece a bull's head above two rams, the sides with recumbent hounds.
Excellent condition measuring 6" x 3" x 2 1/4" tall.
