Description
A handsome antique English three decanter Tantalus with silver plated frame and standing on four bun feet.
The working key requires a clockwise turn, the lock barrel is then pushed down to release the bar covering the stoppers. The bar then snaps back when finished and can then be locked again.
There are three full hobnail cut decanters, all in superb condition. The front of the Tantalus has an integral shaped presentation mount.
Early twentieth century dating to c.1910 / 1920, it remains in excellent condition ready for use. The footprint measures 14 3/4" x 7" and standing 12 1/2" tall to top of handle; each decanter measures 3 1/4" square x 8 1/2" tall to top of stopper.
