A striking piece of antique tortoiseshell was used to make this stunning Edwardian tray or dish, the markings are striking and colours ranging from golden champagne to rich chocolate brown.
The glossy shell is enhanced with a sterling (unmarked) silver mount featuring a pretty period scene of a gentleman serenading two ladies.
Dating to around 1900 / 1910 this treasure remains in excellent condition, measuring 6" x 3 7/8".
