Description

A handsome heavy cast brass inkwell with a highly collectable Equestrian theme. The horseshoe shaped base stands on four horse hoof legs, the tray having a cradle each side acting as a pen rest.
The inkwell itself is in the from of a coopered bucket and topped with a jockey cap hinged lid with ribbon detailing to the front. The underside retains the original red painted finish.
Victorian in era and dating to c.1880. Excellent condition measuring 4 1/2" deep x 4" wide x 4 3/4" tall.
