Description
A top quality box, very unusual deep shape with a tiny ring underneath the hinge (perhaps for a Chatelaine).The sterling silver is fully marked and retains the original gilt (gold) finish. The guilloche enamel is exquisite in a stunning yellow colour with a bright patina showcasing the intricate engine-turning below. The enamel to the lid is framed with a white enamel border.
The lid fits well and once opened reveals the gilded interior and the original mirror to the interior of the lid.
Superb quality and condition measuring 1 5/8" in diameter x 1 1/8".
