handsome antique english sterling silver hip liquor flask sheffield 1918

Description

A good sized smart antique hip / liquor / whiskey flask with a simple design incorporating a concave reversed side to comfortably fit the body contours in a pocket.
The hinged lid has a bayonet action requiring a twist and lift action revealing a gilded interior to the hinge; the inside of the lid is fitted with a cork to keep the precious contents secure.
The silver is fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1918, exactly 100 years old; the makers mark is also present for the well renowned James Dixon and Sons.
Excellent condition measuring 5 1/2" x 4" x 3/4"; 5.92 Troy Ounces / 184.1 Grams.
