A top-notch example of a late Victorian galleried serving tray, grand in scale and in magnificent condition.
Made from a solid piece of English Oak, polished and mounted with a central shield-shaped mount. The underside reveals the original feet and the central circular plaque signed by the famous silversmith, Mappin Brothers.
The galleried surround with cut-out handles is made from silver plate.
Excellent condition measuring 20" x 13 3/4" x 4", Victorian in era, dating to c.1890.
