Description

A really terrific Georgian old Sheffield plate meat platter, a fabulous shape standing on the four most wonderful legs and decoration to each end of the dish.
The well and tree dish used for both carving and serving having a hot water jacket. The shaped border is again decorated with floral and foilate motifs with hand-chased.
Dating to c.1820, it remains in fine condition with a few dings here and there, mostly on the underside commensurate with age and use. A truly lovely example.
23" x 17 1/2" x 4 1/2" tall. A hefty piece but worldwide shipping is included!
