Description
A stunning figural inkwell, made from English brass, the top portion possibly cast in copper and finished in brass, with copper highlights showing through.In the form of a wonderful cat in a smart coat and retaining two wonderful glass eyes. The hinged lid opens to reveal the original brass and glass removable ink chamber.
Dating to c.1880 it remains in very good condition. 3 1/2" in diameter x 4 3/4" tall.
