A really unusual biscuit box (it would make the most wonderful ice bucket too); made from glass and silver plate which is marked EPNS and 1/0 which I believe is made from the famous German maker, WMF (WÜRTTEMBERGISCHE METALLWARENFABRIK), and would date to c.1890/1900. The glass body has a diagonal "wave" to it, with all other elements following suit with three wonderful applied twisted handles without damage and the handle to the lid also has the twisted design. A fabulous and highly desirable piece, perfect for both the period or contemporary home. Excellent condition; the body has a diameter measuring 5" and 7" handle to handle and stands 6 3/4" tall to top of lid handle.
