Description
A very stylish Art Nouveau photograph frame made from English sterling silver with a full hallmark for Birmingham 1906, Edwardian in era. The makers initials are also present for the silversmith, Munsey and Co. Ltd. This frame is lucky enough to also have an English design registration number also for the year 1906.The beautifully shaped silver has a raised border, simple to the bottom and more decorative to the top half including repousse floral motifs.
The silver is attached to the original blue velvet backing with the original hinged folding easel, the velvet with wear commensurate with age. Excellent condition measuring 6" x 5" x 1/2" with a circular glazed aperture measuring 4" in diameter.
