superb antique english sterling silver and crocodile alligator hip flask 1898

Description

A magnificent hip flask by the top notch silversmith, James Dixon and Sons. The top of the flask is wrapped in a lovely piece of deep cognac coloured Crocodile / Alligator skin.
The fittings including the hinged bayonet top and the removable cup are all made from English sterling silver fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1898, a true Victorian example.
Excellent condition measuring 5 7/8" tall x 2 7/8" wide x 1 1/4".
