Clearly created after the well known idiom "use a sledgehammer to crack a nut"; this is an unusual and fun figural inkwell.
The Walnut is the inkwell with a hinged lid which opens to reveal the original little removaable glass liner.
The underside retains the original leather covering. Victorian in era and in excellent condition measuirng 4" in diameter x 4 1/2" tall.
