Description

A beautifully carved novelty Victorian inkwell from the Victorian era, having been made in the Black Forest region. The dog has the most lovely face, made better with his two wonderful glass eyes.
The hinged lid lifts to reveal the cream ceramic ink chamber within.
Dating to c.1880, it remains in excellent condition. The base has a diameter measuring 4 1/2" in diameter x 5" tall.
