This particular late Victorian biscuit box or barrel lends itself to doubling as an ice bucket due to it's size and straight lines, take a look at the last photograph.
Made from solid English Oak the box is mounted with silver plated fittings with a quality screwed construction. The lid lifts to reveal the original creamware ceramic lining without damage.
Late Victorian in era, dating to c.1890/1900 and in excellent condition. The diameter measures 5" x 6 1/4" tall to top of lid finial or 9 1/4" to top of handle when in use.
