Description

A fabulous novelty pen / nib wipe cast in Bronze as a running Fox, beautifully executed and sporting his two glass eyes.
The underside is stamped twice "Geschutzt" - the German equivalent of a Patent.
The top is filled with natural bristle to wipe the excess ink of a traditional dip pen.
Excellent condition, measuring 7 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 2 1/4" tall. Late Victorian in era, dating to c.1890/1900
