huge 19 french gilded bronze photograph frame c1890

Description

A magnificent and very grand photograph frame; if you are looking for a statement piece, this may very well be it.
Made from Ormolu or gilded bronze, it has been meticulously restored to it's former glory with a bright patina, clean silk taffeta and a recovered backing incorporating a folding easel back stand.
Each corner at the front and behind the glass are beautifully gilded and engraved mounts.
Standing 19" tall x 13 3/4" the oval aperture measures 12 1/2" x 9 7/8". Superb condition dating to c.1900.
