The metal is brass and has been professionally polished to gleam showcasing the Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell with it's iridescent qualities.
This example comes with an attached lorgnette handle which extends. While closed they measure 4 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" tall.
